Sandy Lazzari is a strategic People & Culture executive with 20+ years of experience building and scaling HR functions inside high-growth life science, biotech and high-tech organizations. From early-stage startups to IPO-stage companies, Sandy has served as the first HR leader — and most recently as Chief People Officer — at companies including Abata Therapeutics, PlateletBio, Emulate Bio, Kala Pharmaceuticals, and Quanterix, among others. 

Sandy is known for meeting organizations at their inflection point: building the people infrastructure, culture, and leadership capability needed to scale with intention. Her work spans total rewards strategy, executive team building, M&A integration, organizational design, and leadership development — always in service of building cultures where exceptional people can do meaningful work. 

A trusted advisor to CEOs, Boards, and Compensation Committees, Sandy brings both the strategic depth of a seasoned executive and the hands-on instincts of someone who has built from zero more than once. Sandy holds a dual degree in Business and Psychology from the University of Southern New Hampshire, an Executive Certificate in Women's Leadership from Yale University, and is currently completing an AI Leadership certification through Harvard's Data Science Initiative — reflecting a career-long commitment to developing as both a leader and a practitioner.
